Tapestry Weaving Class
Instructor: Ruth Hawkins from Little Hawk Farm
Date April 20th 10am - noon
In this class we will focus on the different weaving techniques used in traditional tapestry weaving. You will learn to properly warp your tapestry loom and begin weaving a tapestry sampler using the newly learned techniques.
Warp and weft yarn will be included in class cost. Locally sourced and spun BFL wool yarn will be used for the weft.

Introduction to Needle Felting

Learn the basic techniques of needle felting. In class you will have the opportunity to needle felt on a flat
surface creating a one-of-a-kind piece
of art.

Learn the basics of needle felting a 3D object. In class you will have the opportunity to needle felt a wool sheep.

Introduction to Crochet
Granny Square Washcloth $35
Instructor: Ruth Hawkins from Little Hawk Farm
Date: January 20th 10am – 12pm
Learn the basics of chain, slip stitch, single and double crochet while making a granny square. A good refresher course or one for the first-time crocheter. The class will teach how to follow a pattern using US crochet terms. Materials will be provided.
Recommended age: 8 and up.
BEGINNING CROCHET
Basic Wool Beanie $54
Instructor: Ruth Hawkins from Little Hawk Farm
Date: January 20th 1pm – 4pm
Learn the basic techniques of making a chain, single crochet stitch and slip stitch while you make a warm winter beanie. We will provide the pattern and materials needed. The BFL wool yarn we will be using is locally sourced and mill spun. Class will teach how to follow a pattern using US crochet terms. By the end of the class, students will have a firm grasp on single crochet, crocheting in a round and decreasing.
